Spank_Rock is an Alternative hip-hop rapper. The duo performed at the mtvU Woodie Awards show in New York City. Their hit single "Bump" was named Single of the Year by Xfm London.

Spank_Rock consist of two rapper from Baltimore, Spank Rock (MC Naeem Juwan) and XXXchange (Alex Epton). Juwan began rapping when he was still in middle school. It Shawn J. Period (producer for Talib Kweli and Mos Def) who encouraged the rapper to pursue music as his career. XXXchange was attending Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore. He played drums for an indie band called Zero Zero. At and art gallery in Baltimore, Alex Rockswell introduced the two rappers. Juwan and XXXchange instantly clicked and decided to collaborate thus, Spank_Rock was born. The duo signed in the Big Dada, a British label, and issued their debut album YoYoYoYoYo in 2006. Rockswell became a part of the duo’s line-up as their DJ. The follow year, Spank Rock signed with Downtown Records releasing, Benny Blanco & Spank Rock Present: "Bangers and Cash". The group gained popularity, appearing in the tv show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, where they played two of their singles, “Rick Rubin” and “Sweet Talk”.
