On their second album, Primitive released on 2000, they will have to deal the departure of Roy from the group. He was replaced by Joe Nunez on drums for the album making it the most successful album of Soulfly for reaching 32 in the Billboard 200 albums chart. Their third album 3 was released on 2002 produced by Max Cavalera.
