Songs About Me was released on March 22, 2005 through Capitol Records. The album was one of Trace Adkins' most successful having been certified 2x platinum by the RIAA. It was led by its hit single "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" which spotted #2 in the U.S. Hot Country charts.

Other singles released for the album were "Songs About Me" and "Arlington".
