This album was released in June 25, 2002 under independent label Octone. It contains 12 tracks that caught talks about a topic everyone can relate to--love. Though the songs talked about love, the band made it sound not-so-overly romantic, still incorporating their unique fusion of rock and R&B.
2003 breakout hit "This Love" propelled the success of this album. Other tracks that received a lot of airplay and a top spot are "Harder To Breathe" and "She Will Be Loved"

- The album took a whopping 90 weeks before it reached the charts! And when it did, it spelled success.
- When the group entered recording, Adam's relationship with then girlfriend was falling apart. The songs that pertained to break-ups and the like were inspired by what was happening to them. Thus, the title "Songs About Jane"
