Slick Shoes

Slick_Shoes is a Pop Punk band group from Southern California, United States. The band is of Christian origin and was formed on 1994 and released their first self-titled EP in 1997.

Slick Shoes is best described as a pop punk band with Christian origins, which derived their name from the famous hit movie – The Goonies. On themovie, Slick Shoes is one of the character Data’s many gadgets. Formed on 1994, they made their first EP release on 1997. Since then, they had released five full-length studio albums and one greatest hits compilation CD.

The band went through numerous lineup changes throughout their career but the good thing, founding members Ryan and Joe were present in all their releases. Their presence put forth a storng foundation for their bands success. Their first ever-full length album titled “Rusty” was released on 1997 which was only moderate in success which was followed by their second album “Burn Out” on 1998. Two years after, on 2000, a third album “Wake Up Screaming” was released followed by a self-titled fourth album on 2002. All albums were released through Tooth and Nail Records.

On 2003, feeling the need for a change, they signed with a new record label Side One Dummy Records, which released their final album “Far From Nowhere”. They toured extensively to promote their final album. After the tour, the band was very inactive and made a public announcement that they are on indefinite hiatus and that they are involved with a side project called Sigmund.

More than a year after, on January 2008, they had been once again reunited. No albums were recorded yet, but they are together to play at clubs and other local gigs.
