Slayer first began in 1982 in California by guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hannerman, recruiting lead vocalist and bassist Tom Araya and drummer Dave Lombardo. Slayer first started as a cover band leaving the entire music arena screaming more for the kind of chimes Slayer has unleashed.
