Skyy was formed in 1970 by "Randy Muller", a record producer. Original members are "Denise", "Delores" and "Bonny Dunning" as vocalist, with "Solomon Roberts" and Anibal Anthony Sierra" on guitar, "Larry Greenberg" on keyboard, "Gerald Lebon" on bass and "Tomy McConnell" on drums. They signed a recording contract under Salsoul records from the late 70's until 1984. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1979. Their next album, Skyway was released in 1980 which chartered #17 on the US R&B Charts. In 1981, they released Skyyport which landed at #18 on the US R&B Charts. In 1982, they released Skyy Line which peaked #1 on the US R&B Charts. Also that year, they released the album, Skyyjammer. In 1986, they moved to Capitol Records and released the album, From The Left Side. In 1989, they released the album Start of a Romance under Atlantic Records which also features the hit single, "Real Love".
