About

Skid Row was started by guitarist Dave “The Snake” Sabo with bassist Rachel Bolan in Toms River, New Jersey in 1986. Guitarist Scotti Hill, drummer Rob Affuso, and high-pitched vocalist Sebastian Bach joined the team after. They began playing in eastern United States. Dave Sabo who’s a close friend of Jon Bon Jovi (Bon Jovi’s vocalist), help the group to sign their first record deal with Atalantic, where Skid Row released their self-titled debut album, Skid Row, which made them into mainstream all over the globe. Sebastian Bach’s flamboyance eventually pushed the band to lay him off in 1996. Skid Row reformed in 1999 with new vocalist Johnny Solinger and new drummer Phil Varone, formerly from the band Saigon Kick to join them with their fourth album Thickskin in 2003.
