[edit] About
In 1997, alternative rock band, Sick Puppies, from Sydney, Australia began their music career. Simon Moore (vocals/lead guitar) and Emma Anzai (bass) started the band and later on added Chris Mileski (drums) to the line-up. The Sick Puppies began playing gigs and released their EP, Dog’s Breakfast, in 1999. In 2001, the band joined in a radio contest on Aussie’s Triple J, where their single “Nothing Really Matters” won the competition.
Moore met Juan Mann, a performance artist, at an outdoor shopping mall. Mann carried a “Free Hugs” sign and would do to anyone who wanted a hug. Moore filmed the whole thing and added “All he Same” in the video. When Mann’s grandmother died, Moore sent the video to him. He was moved by the gesture and Mann uploaded it on Youtube on 2006. It reached up to 12.5 million views on the next year.
Arriving in the United States, Mileski departed from the band and was replaced by Mark Goodwin. In 2006, they signed in with Roadshow label issuing their self-titled debut album. Virgin Records offered a deal with Sick Puppies and released their sophomore album, Dressed Up as Life, in 2007.

[edit] Reviews
- Sick Puppies has a great driving beat in their music. The vocalist, Simon Moore, has a beautiful way of playing with the rhythm of his voice and the guitar. The lyrics of their songs are awesome.
