The album was released on September 26, 2000 by Bad Boy Entertainment. The album was a huge success charting at #5 in the Billboard 200 albums chart and #2 in the Billboard Top R&B album in the same year it was released. Eventually it was Certified Platinum by RIAA.
It features three singles led by the hit debut single "Bad Boyz" that charted #9 in the Hot R&B charts. "Bonnie and Shyne" and "That's Gangsta" were the other singles of the album.
