Shiny Toy Guns is an Alternative rock band. Shiny Toy Guns have a group of members called the Satellites. The Satellite system is for transfer of news, information, ideas and sounds.

Alternative rock band, Shiny Toy Guns, came to be in 2002 at Los Angeles, California. Gregori Chad Petree(vocals/guitar) and Jeremy Dawson (bass/keyboard) already knew each other for quiet some time and also worked together on other projects. In 2001, the two began searching for their other band mates to complete the line-up. The duo worked with Ursula Vari when they went underground. When Vari departed, Carah Faye Charnow (vocals) and Mikey Martin (drums) completed Shiny Toy Guns.
In 2005, Shiny Toy Guns issued their debut album, We Are Pilots. Later that year, the band re-issued the album with some small changes in the track list. The band went on an extensive tour to promote the album. In 2006, Shiny Toy Guns signed with Universal Records having to release We Are Pilots for the third time under a major record label. It was nominated for “Best Electronic/Dance Album” in the Grammy Award in 2008. Charnow departed from Shiny Toy Guns stating that the male member cast her out. She was replaced by Pussycat Doll’s reality show finalist, Sisely Treasure. In 2008, Shiny Toy Guns released their follow-up album, Season of Poison.

- Shiny Toy Guns combine the waves of the ‘80s and the present. The electronic beats and gentle female voice are a fine contrast. They give nostalgia due to the retro rhythms that are addictive.
