Shannon Lawson is an American Country Singer who rose to fame via his album, Chase The Sun.

Shannon Lawson was born on July 12, 1973 in Taylorsville, Kentucky. At the age of 4, she began to learn to play her uncle's guitar. He formed his own band in high school. After graduating from high school, he transferred in Louisville, Kentucky to attend college. While studying, he joined a bluegrass band, The Galoots. He left school in favor of joining the groups concert tours. The group released two albums before they part ways. In 2001, he left the group and signed a recording contract under MCA Nashville Records. A year later, he released his solo debut album, Chase The Sun under MCA which chartered at #24 on US Billboard Heatseekers. His next album, Acoustic Livingroom Session was issued in 2004 which landed at #35 on Top Country Albums Chart.
