Shanice Cooper also known as Nyce, born March 13, 1988 is an American singer & rapper and ASCAP Songwriter, formerly signed under South Capitol Recordings, in which she made her recording debut with Profound Intent in 2007. After recording with Profound Intent with which she co-wrote the single Let's Get Krunk, she began working closely with LaPret appearing as a guest vocalist and rapper on many of his singles, which are featured on 2007's Do A Dub and 2008's The Reputation of a Rap Star. Her most popular record with LaPret is 2008's Make U See, and the Profound Intent hits Let's Get Krunk and Work It. She earned Profound Intent the 2007 Reviewers Picks from Garageband for Best Female Vocals in Funk for "Work It".At the top of 2008, she was dropped from the label for breach of contractual obligations when she recorded a single called Smoke and Ride, and was deemed non-commercially viable. She also severed all ties with LaPret.

Rock With Profound

In early 2007 Al-Baby was named the official replacement for Jahnae Johnson. However, in April 2007 the group conducted a MySpace Street contest called "Rock with Profound"; this confirmed that Al-Baby was no longer in the group. Originally searching for a new Lead Singer and a second male Rapper, the group selected two winners (Shanice Cooper and Russell Rakiem Tolson) but never officially deemed them members of the group for a number of reasons. The critic-acclaimed single "Let's Get Krunk" was leaked to a site in July 2007 and received over 1 million plays and several featured articles. Despite the success of the leaked single the group continued as a trio.
