Shania Twain is a Canadian singer and songwriter who emerged in the mid 90's enjoying successes in the country and pop genres. Twain is also a multi-awarded artist receiving 5 Grammy awards and nearly 40 BMI Songwriter awards spanning from the time she started to present.

Eillen Shania Twain known professionally as Shania Twain was born on August 28, 1965. She grew up in Timmins, Ontario where her mother remarried to Jerry Twain who is a full blooded member of Ojibwa First Nation after they separated with Clarence Edwards where Twain was still 2.
Her hard childhood has helped her achieve stardom where her parents not earning much and she was force to sing in numerous clubs and bars to help bring in money in the family. This event made her realize her talent and passion for singing. On November 1, 1987, her music career was put on hold temporarily due to the sudden death of her mother and step dad. She was forced to take care of her 2 brothers and sister. Again, she supported the family by performing at a local resort. This time no longer followed by a tragedy, but her break in the music industry when they met entertainment executive from Nashville, Tennessee, Dick Frank. She record a demo tape and on 1991 signed her first recording contract with Nashville Mercury Records where the self-titled album was released on 1993.
The album was a disappointment and did not please the public which resulted Twain alienating with Nashville. Immediately after, things changed when she met Mutt Lange where they soon recorded album topping the charts and soon a romantic relationship began.
