Shai is an R&B/Soul band who rose to fame via their debut album, If I Ever Fall in Love.

About
Shai was formed at Howard University in Washington D.C. The original members were "Marc Gay", "Carl Martin" and "Darnell Van Rensalier" belongs to Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. They recruited their friend, "Garfield A. Bright" to join the band.
Their first single, "If I Ever Fall In Love" from their debut album with the same title chartered number two at US Charts. Other singles released was already a big hit. Their second album, Blackface was released in 1995. Shai original members split up in 1998.
