Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was an immediate hit when it first came out, reaching #1 on the U.S. Albums Chart. It won a slew of Grammy Awards, including "Best Album," and is included in many lists of best albums. One of the most influential albums ever made, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band still shines as one of the best albums ever made to this day.

Trivia

"Penny Lane" and "Strawberry Fields Forever" were intended for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, but were released as a single in February of 1967 due to increasing pressure from Capitol Records to deliver new material between releases and in lieu of touring.
