Semisonic - an alternative rock band that was formed in Minneapolis, USA by members Dan Wilson, John Munson, and Jacob Slichter.

About
Semisonic was formed by Dan Wilson, John Munson, and Jacob Slichter after the breakup of Trip Shakespeare. They rented a room in Minneapolis and there mixed together new songs with digital recording devices and antique sound-processing gear. They combine the latest digital technologies along with vintage devices to create seductive textures. Their music is the result of the three friends having a tug-of-wr clash in the studio, pulling and pushing of the groove along with the clashing of brilliant ideas and of course, the grace when the result is stunning.

Band Members
- Dan Wilson - a musician best known for his qualities as main guitarist and vocalist. He ws previously a member of Trip Shakespeare. He wrote a number of songs for the Dixie Chicks album Taking the Long Way.
- John Munson - is the bass player and also was a previous member of Trip Shakespeare.
- Jacob Slichter - the drummer of the band. He wrote a boook entitled So You Wanna Be A Rock & Roll Star, telling about his experiences as a member of the band Semisonic.
