[edit] About
The band was formed by Dave Gleeson, Paul Woseen and Grant Walmsley in 1989. All of the three were former members of the defunct band Aspect. Along with Richard Lara and Brad Heaney, the group of band won the Battle of the Bands national title. After winning the title, they too won a deal with Sydney independent record label rooArt where they released their debut album All For One that spawned the hit single "Better" along with "Shine On" and "Stop the World". After their debut album, they went on a major tour around United Kingdom and throughout Europe for a vast promotion of their group and album.
Their second album Tear of Thought was released but hardly accepted as Heaney was fired and was replaced temporarily with Dave Holland. Later, Craig Rosevear came as the permanent replacement of Heaney. Several controversies hounded the group when Def Leppard Lara was replaced by Melbourne musician Jimi "The Human" Hocking, who had previously fronted his own band, Jimi Human and Spectre 7.
Despite remaining moderate successful overseas due to the bugging controversies and constant line up changes, the band is a top drawing live performer in Australia in the mid 90s. In 1995 the Jets' self-titled album made history when it became the first CD launched via live Webcast. By the late 90s, they went on hiatus afterwards without releasing any musical material since 1996. Member Hocking left the group on 1997 and replaced by Izzy Osmanovich. They went on to tour extensively in Australia in 1999 and Rosevear left the group after to be replaced by Col Hatchman. With the fresh member of the group coming in, they were selected with KISS to tour with famous singer Alice Cooper in 2001. The band decided to take a long break afterwards.
Their on and off musical career continued and on late 2002 did a short tour to support their self financed live album that had been recorded the previous year. Again, lie lowed in their music they went on two perform on 2004 exactly two years after their last performance. And has continued to record and tour but not as much as the Screaming Jets on the 90s. On late 2004, Hatchman left the group and on 2007 founding member Walmsley followed to left the band and was replaced by Scotty Kingman who spearheaded the band's latest album rumored to be "Kiss Me Between The Hangers" to be released 2008.
