[edit] About
Pop-rock drag queens, Scissor Sisters came in the scene in 2001. The line-up includes Jake Shears (vocals), Ana Matronic (keyboard), Babydaddy (guitar), Derek G (guitar) and Paddy Boom (drums). Bigdaddy and Shears co-write their tracks. In 2003, Scissor Sister's released their debut single "Laura" but the public only paid a little attention to it. They did a remake of Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" single and reached at #10 in the charts. It was later on followed by "Take Your Mama" and "Laura" peaking at #17 and #12 respectively. When they released their self-titled debut album in 2004, it reigned the charts and was the best selling album that year. Shears and Babydaddy co-wrote and produced Kyle Minogue's "I Believe In You". The following year, Scissor Sisters took home the International Group, International Breakthough and International Album in the Brit Awards. [edit] Reviews
- Scissor Sisters embrace the music of the 70's and 80's. Their song writing is brilliant and creative. The group has a unique, solid and amazingly complicated background music to their tracks. --Mimi 11:00, 30 August 2008 (PST)
