About
Brad Terrance Jordan professionally known as Scarface was born on November 1970 in Newark, New Jersey. Originally, he started his career with the stage name "Akshen" and joined the Geto Boys in the year 1988. As member of the Geto Boys they recorded eight studio albums together. The highly successful one of the eight albums was "We Can't Be Stopped" which earned him a large fans base. This paved way for him to go solo on 1991 recording for Rap-A-Lot Records.
Solo Career
Before releasing his debut single album he changed his name from "Akshen" to Scarface. Which was the result of watching the movie "Scarface" where he felt that the main character of the movie in many ways was very much similar with him. Mr. Scarface is Back was released on October 3, 1991. During the released of the album, Scarface was still with the group where public was keeping an eye for him. The good thing was that he never burnt bridges between Geto Boys and him where both still maintains good relationship.
The album received critical acclaim after it peaked in the albums chart and on 2000 he released another chart topping album The Last of a Dying Breed that won him the "Lyricist of the Year" at the Source Awards. Currently Scarface has been reunited with the Geto Boys recording their latest album, The Foundation.

Reviews
Scarface, the southern rapper who was known for his ultra violent lyrics for "We Can't Be Stopped" that kept him away from television and radio is an epitome of a professional rapper. While many other rappers burnt bridges and never looked back from where they started, Scarface tried to reflect on the people who had helped him succeed in the industry.
A very well known rapper, he set the definition on what a real rapper is. He was known as the father of Southern Rap. During the 90s it seems that every southern rapper would like to compare their performances and lyrics with that of Scarface. Three and a half out of five stars. -- Ericgo 04:25, 7 February 2007 (PST)
