Sarah Hudson was born on 1980 at Bel Air California to Mark Hudson who is a record producer and Wendy Goteley. Her aunt is a movie star Goldie Hawn. Her first cousin is Kate Hudson. She attended at an exclusive private Catholic Girls High School. She took up her college in the Musicians Institute in Hollywood. Her voice instructor is Elizabeth Howard

After graduating from college, she moved in New York City. Her debut album Naked Truth was released on September 7, 2004. Sarah also appeared in the first season episode of the TV Series Project Runway.
