English singer, Sarah Brightman, was born on August 14, 1960 in Berkhampstead, England. At the age of 13 years old, Brightman starred in a play called I and Albert. Three years later, she appeared on a tv show Top of the Pops. When she turned 18 years old, Brightman became the front woman of a group name Hot Gossip. The group’s single, “I Lost My Heart to a Starship Trooper” became a big hit. Brightman went back to theater and became a cast of Cats. She enrolled in Royal College of Music to further develop her voice. Gaining popularity, Brightman snagged roles from different plays including Requiem by her future husband Andrew Lloyd Webber. The talented artist was nominated for Best New Classical Artist in the Grammy. Brightman and Webber divorced after six years of marriage in 1990.

In 1989, Brightman released her debut solo album, The Songs That Got Away. Followed by several successful albums: Dive (1993), Fly (1996), Time To Say Goodbye (1997), Eden (1998) and La Luna (2000). She did not leave the theatrical life, Brightman was featured in The Phantom of the Opera, Nightingale and Song and Dance.
