About

Samantha Cole was born in Southampton, New York. She had taken music lessons at the age of 12, performed in various bands during her early teenage years and appeared on 30 episodes of MTV's The Grind, which she sang on one at 17.

These MTV appearances led Samantha to becoming a regular performer at Tatou in New York City.

Eventually, her Tatou performances led her way to meeting EMI executives namely Doug Morris and Daniel Glass, and after submitting a demo tape she landed a record deal with Universal and released a self-titled debut album in 1997.

In her debut album, she had worked with some hit producers like David Foster, Nile Rodgers, Richard Marx and Rhett Lawrence and created a US top 40 song called Happy With You and a number one hit song in Southeast Asia called Without You which re-recorded by two American Idol finalists Clay Aiken and Kimberly Locke in 2004.

Samantha also graced the Dark Angel TV show soundtrack (2002) and collaborated with Shaggy on his single Luv Me, Luv Me off his multi-platinum album, Hotshot (2001).

Aside from singing, Samantha also made some acting in an episode of HBO's Sex and the City, WE's network reality show, Single in the Hamptons and Death of the Dynasty, a Damon Dash directorial film in 2003.

Samantha also appeared on magazines like FHM and Loaded and posed a non-nude pictorial for Playboy as Babe of the Month.

Currently, Samantha is busy working for her new album called Superwoman under the new label Alpha Omega Records.
