About
Saliva is a band originally founded on 1996 in Memphis. Their big break came after competing in the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Grammy Showcase competition where the group advanced to the final round in New York City. Soon they released their self titled independent album that became an instant hit selling 10,000 copies in the hometown. This prompted Island Records and released their first debut album with the label, Every Six Seconds on 2001. The album became a hit and went on to be certified gold in the United States.
On 2005, at the height of their popularity after releasing Back Into Your System and Survival of the Sickest, Chris D'abaldo announced that he is leaving as confirmed in their website. But the band is completely moving on as agreed and still has the best music in them. Shortly after the departure, Jonathan Montoya replaced him in the group.
Their latest album Blood Stained Love Story was released on 2007. The album marked the debut of Montoya which features hit single "Ladies and Gentlemen" that reached #2 in the Billboard. The album again was certified gold.
