About
Ryan David Adams professionally known simply as Ryan Adams was born on November 5, 1974. He dropped out of highschool to work in a shoe shop and make music where subsequently after, took GED and briefly attended Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville, Northe Carolina.
On 1994, Adams started out as a punk artist for the band known as The Patty Duke Syndrome. However, later on he would describe punk rock as too hard to sing promptimg him to form his short-lived band, Whiskeytown. Following the success of similar band Uncle Tupelo and Gram Parsons, the band quickly gained acclaim. Adam's antics soon proved to be destructive for the band, led by his controversies and legal troubles encountered with the FBI and recording companies. He left the group and decided to go on solo.
Adams made his solo debut for the album Heartbreaker on 2000. The album is about the story of the end of a relationship from a man's perspective, where he ended relationship with Whiskeytown by deciding to go on solo. The album met considerable success but sales were slow. Between January 2000 and December 2005 Adams found himself considerably gaining critical acclaim, releasing a total of eight albums, producing albums by Jesse Malin and Willie Nelson, contributed to Beth Orton, the Wallflowers, Counting Crows, and America albums.
