One of the popular American Country Singers, Roseanne Cash spawned several hit albums and singles including her most commercial breakthrough, Seven Year Ache.

About

Roseanne Cash was born on May 24, 1955 in Memphis, Tennessee to "Johnny Cash" and "Vivian Liberto". Her parents were sepearated in the early 60's. Roseanne and her mother moved in Southern California. After graduating from high school, she joined her father's road show for three years. She became a bacjup singer and then as an infrequent soloist. After quitting the show, she studied in Vanderbilt University taking up English and drama. She left the university after one year. She took up Lee Strasberg's drama school in Hollywood, Califronia. She left the school after six months.


In 1978, she signed a recording contract under Ariola Records and issued her self-titled debut album. However, the album was not released in United States. After the released of the said album, she signed a recording contract under Columbia Records. Her American debut album, Right or Wrong was released in 1979. It features the single, "Couldn't Do Nothin' Right,". Her second album, Seven Year Ache was issued in 1981 and was considered her biggest breakthrough. The album features three US Billboard Country #1 hit singles, "Seven Year Ache"," My Baby Think's He's a Train" and "Blue Moon with a Heartache.".


Her third album, Somewhere in the Stars was released in 1982. It features the singles, "Ain't No Money" which landed at #4 on The US Billboard Country Chart and "I Wonder". After three years of hiatus, she released her fourth album, Rhythm & Romance in 1985. The album features the singles, "I Don't Know Why You Don't Want Me" which chartered at #1 on US Billboard Country Chart and "Never Be You". In 1989, she released her first compilation album entitled, The Hits: 1979-1989 under Columbia Records. The album spawned two new hit singles, "I Don't Want to Spoil the Party," which landed at #1 on US Billboard Country Charts and "Black and White".


Her next album, Interiors was released in 1990. It features the single, "What We Really Want". Her last album, The Wheel under Columbia Records was released in 1993. Roseanne did not released any album after three years. In 1996, she signed a recording contract under Capitol Records and issued her album, 10 Song Demo. Her next album, Rules of Travel was released in 2003. Her next album, Black Cadillac was issued in 2006. It features the singles, "House on The Lake" and "Radio Operator".
