[edit] About

Indie rock band Rogue Wave began in 2002 at Oakland, California. The line-up consists of Zack Rogue (vocals/guitar), Gram LeBron (vocals/keyboard/drums), Sonya Westcott (vocals/bass) and Pat Spurgeon (keyboard/drums). Rogue was a member of the band, the Desoto Reds, he left for New York and came back with a handful of singles. In 2003, Rogue released, Out of the Shadow, under Responsive Label. He then decided to start a band with LeBron and Westcott. Rogue Wave played gigs with other indie bands like Mates of State and Spoon. The following year, the band signed with Sub Pop Records and re-released, Out of the Shadow. By this time, Evan Farrell replaced Westcott. In 2005, the band released their EP, 10:1 and a sophomore album, Descended Like Vultures. It was followed by Asleep at Heaven’s Gate in 2007.

[edit] Reviews

  • Rogue Wave is innovative in their music. They have a soft-edged feeling in their rock tunes. The band is not overly masculine which gives them diversity.--ericgo 06:00, 31 June 2009 (PST)
