The album was originally released on March 22, 1985 by Capitol Records and was re-issued on October 25, 1990. It chartered at #1 in the US R&B Charts. The album features the singles, "Rock Me Tonight" which landed #1 for six weeks at the R&B Charts, "You are My Lady" also reached number 1 at the R&B Charts. Other singles like, "He'll Never Love You (Like I Do)" and "Love Is Just a Touch Away" also reached the R&B Top Ten. The album has sold four million copies.
