Rick Ross or "William Roberts" in real life was born on February 8, 1977 at Carol City, Florida. Rick formed a local group named "Carol City Cartee. Rick signed a recording contract under Slip-N-Slide and released his debut album, Port of Miami in 2006. His first single, "Hustlin" reached number 9 on the Hip-Hop chart.
