Texas native Rhett Miller is popularly known as the lead vocals, rhythm guitar and composer for the alt-country band the Old 97's, formed in 1993.

About
Stewart Ransom Miller II was born on September, 1971 at Austin, Texas. He graduated from St. Mark's School of Texas in 1989. His music career started when he was just 18 years old releasing his debut album Mythologies in 1989, produced by future band mate, Murry Hammond. They also performed as the Ranchero Brothers which they started as their way of testing their new music for their future band Old 97's.
His band released four albums between 1995 and 2001. The following year, he recorded his sophomore effort, The Instigator. It became a favorite among press people because of Rhett's unique and passionate songs. He toured with Neil Finn in 2004 which brought him to the attention of many.
The Believer is another solo effort of Rhett Miller released on February 28, 2006. Produced by George Drakoulias (Tom Petty, Black Crowes, The Jayhawks) and all-star cast of musicians, this album has taken its predecessor's achivements to the next level.
Rhett Miller is married to model Erica Iahn they have two kids namely, Max and Soleil.
