Remy Zero was formed in 1989 at Los Angeles by "Cinjun Tate" on vocals and guitar, "Shelby Tate" on guitar, keyboards and vocals, "Gregory Slay" on drums and percussion, "Cedric Lemoyne" on bass guitar and "Jeffrey Cain" on guitar. Their self-titled debut album was released on January 1996 under Geffen Records. Their second album, Villa Elaine was released in August 1998 under Geffen Records. It chartered at #37 on Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart. In September 2001, their album, The Golden Hum was issued and landed at #20 on Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart.
