Redman is an American rapper, producer and occasional actor from New Jersey. He became famous as an artist in Dej Jam recording label in the early 1990's.

About
Early Music
Born Reginald Noble on April 17, 1970 in Newark, New Jersey he is professionally known as Redman. He was discovered by Erick Sermon after spotting him freestyle in a New York night club. Sermon immediately included him in Hit Squad, a group of aspiring MC's. When Hit Squad released their third album "Business As Usual" on 1990, it also marked the debut of Redman being included in two tracks of the album namely "Hardcore" and "Brothers of My Jock".
Solo Career
After gaining some fans base on the Hit Squad, Redman released his solo debut album on 1992 "Whut? Thee Album" which immediately gained popularity. The album broke into the US Top 50 albums chart and achieved gold status in the United States.
His solo career continued to prosper throughout the decade selling at least half a million for every album he recorded. He had worked extensively to release a collaboration album with Def Squad on 1998 named "El Niño" as well as with Method Man whom they released "Blackout!" album together on 1999. Currently, he is set to release his latest studio album Muddy Waters 2 on November of 2007.
