The album was released on September 27, 2005 by Sanctuary Records. It was primarily produced by Rodney Jerkins, with additional production from R. Kelly and Timbaland.

Raydiation features two singles released: "One Wish" which charted at #3 and "What I Need" at #58 both on the Billboard R&B chart.

Raydiation was pushed back several times from fall 2004 to March, April, June and July to September 2005 finally.

The first single choice varied many times, too. At certain points Ray-J himself had announced "Keep Sweatin" as his new single. "Quit Actin" was in talks, too, before "One Wish" was picked.
