Rachel Stevens is a former member of popular group in the early 2000's, S Club 7. After the disbanded in 2003, Rachel went solo and released her hit single, "Sweet Dreams".

Rachel Stevens or "Rachel Lauren Stevens" was born on April 9, 1978 in Southgate, London. She studied in Ashmole School in London. In 1993, she won in a modeling competition sponsored by Just 17 magazine. She beat all 5000 contestants. Apart from her modeling, she also attended in London School of Fashion. Rachel also worked as a public relations. When she was 19 years old, she accompanied her brother in an audition held in London. Simon Fuller,former manager of Spice Girls was forming that time a new pop group called, S Club 7. Upon waiting for her brother, Rachel was also approached by the judges. They encouraged her to join the audition and fortunately she was chosen to be one of the member.
The group comprised of "Tina Barrett", "Paul Cattermole", "John Lee", "Bradley McIntosh", "Jo O' Meara" and "Hannah Spearritt". The group became popular worldwide. They sold over 16 million records. They disbanded in 2003. Rachel went solo after the separation. She signed a recording contract under Polydor Records and a management contract with Simon Fuller. Her first single, "Sweet Dreams" was released in September 2003 and debuted #2 on the UK Singles Chart.
After a month, her debut album, Funky Dory was releaed. The album landed #9 on the UK Albums Chart. Her next single, "Funky Dory" was released in December 2003. The single is only a minor hit. Her next single, "Some Girls" was released in July 2004. It peaked at #2 on the UK Singles Chart. Her next single, "More More More" was also a big hit. It debuted at #3 on the UK Singles Chart.
The album sold 200,000 in UK alone. Her next single, "Negotiate With Love" which was a minor hit. Their next single, "So Good" was released in July 2005. The two singles were included in their second album, Come And Get It which was issued in October 2005. Her next single, "I Said Never Again (But Here We Are)" landed #12 in the UK Charts. Her next album was due to be released this year.
