Public Announcement is an American Hip-Hop band, who rose to fame via their debut album, Don't Hold Back.

About
Public Announcement was formed at Chicago, Illinois in 1989 by the hit rapper, R. Kelly. In 1990, they released a single under Tavdark label. They signed a recording contract under Jive Records in 1991 and released their debut album, Born in the 90's in 1992. It spawned hit singles, such as "She's Got That Vibe", "Dedicated" and "Honey Love" which topped the Billboard R&B Singles Chart for 2 weeks and "Slow Dance". The album went platinum.
After their album tour, R. Kelly quit the group to pursue his solo career and was replaced by Felony Davis. The new group released their second album, All Work, No Play was released in 1998, which issued the singles, "Body Bumpin, 'Yippee Yi-Yo" and "Mamacita". They produced more hit albums like, Don't Hold Back in 2001, Simply in 2003 and Chicago Soul: The Truth in R&B Collection]] in 2004. Their latest album released, When The Smoke Clears was released in 2005 under Boss Entertainment through Universal Records.
