Poe is a successful singer from the 90's. Her music is a mixture of folk, rock, and electronic. She also appeared in the movie Gossip performing the song "My Lips are Sealed".

Poe (Annie Decatur Danielewski) was born on March 23, 1968. Daughter of the film director Tad Danielewski and her mother, Priscilla Machold Poe, was the sister of Mark Z. Daniekewski. After high school, Poe attended Princeton University and formed a band. It resulted to the release of her debut album, Hello, in 1995 with the debut single “Angry Johnny” which was played both on the radio and MTV. The young artist played gigs from one bar to the other.
In 2000, Poe issued her follow-up album, Haunted. It was inspired from Mark’s (brother) novel, House of Leaves. The siblings promoted the book and album together. Poe began a movement called Re-POE-Session. A campaign against Atlantic Records for refusing to re-release her albums even though she was still under contract. In 2004, she won the fight and released both her albums under Sheridan Square Records.
