Playing The Angel was released on 2005-10-18 under Mute records. The album hit no.20 on E! Online's top 20 albums chart and no.6 on the U.K. Chart. The hit singles in the album are "Precious" which peaked no.1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play and no.71 on the Billboard Hot 100. The second single "Suffer Well" hit the no.1 spot on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. The song was also featured in The Sims 2: Open for Business.
