Peter Bjorn and John was influenced by the sounds of classic 60's Baroque Pop, Power Pop, New Wave, and Indie Rock. One of their hit albums that has released was, Writer's Block.

Peter Bjorn and John were formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1999. The trio comprised of "Bjorn Yitting" on vocals, bass, vocals and keyboards, "John Ericksson" on drums, percussion and vocals and "Peter Moren" on vocals, guitars and harmonica.


Peter and Bjorn have been performing music together for 8 years. In 1998, they met John and the next year they formed the band, Peter Bjorn and John. The band began playing gigs soon after forming and appearing on compilation albums with artists like, Sahara Hotnights, Badly Drawn Boy and Holiday For Strings. After releasing three singles, "The Forbidden Chords", "Failing and Passing" and "I Don't Know What I Want Us To Do".


The group released their self-titled debut album in 2002, which features the songs, "Matchmaker" and "People They Know" and became one of the favorites of indie-rock crowd. Their next album, Falling Out was released in 2004 and issued the hit single, "It Beats Me Everytime". In 2006, they released their hit album, Writer's Block. The album features the single, "Young Folks".
