About
Peter Yorn was born on July 27, 1974 in New Jersey whose father is a dentist and his mother a teacher. Their family was into music where her mother was a pianist before teaching. At a young age, he would borrow his brother's drum kit and by twelve already could play the guitar very very well.
He attended high school at Montville and joined the school's talent show contest. Particularly during the contest he was being asked to sing "The Replacements" song and he impressed the audiences. After the show, a competing band contacted him to join them perform and sing Neil Young’s "Rockin’ In the Free World". Since that day, his love for music started to grow even bigger and never looked back.
After graduating from Syracuse University, Pete moved to Los Angeles. Their, he began to perform at a local cafe and caught the attention of movie producer Bradley Thomas. Bradley asked Pete to send in some demo CD's for him to be included in the soundtrack of the films Bradley had produced. These films include "Me, Myself and Irene", "Felicity", and "Dawson's Creek Volume 2" album.
On 2001, he released his debut album Musicforthemorningafter under Columbia which was certified gold by RIAA. Since then he has toured actively and gained numerous critical accolades. He became the headline artist on the inaugural MTV2 handpicke tour and played drums for the set. Rolling Stone picked him as the magazines "Ten to Watch in 2001".

Reviews
Pete Yorn has set the tone for the rock genre music in the 21st century. His rock songs are conservative and has a sense of ingenuinity. You normally don't hear him raised his voice unlike any other rock genre musicians. No wonder during the earlier part of the year 2000 he was pick as the "Ten to Watch in 2001" by Rolling Stone Magazine. --Ericgo 00:27, 3 February 2007 (PST)
