About
Pee Wee King or "Julius Frank Anthony Kuczynski" in real life was born on February 18, 1914 in Milwaukee and was raised in Abrams, Wisconsin. At the age of 14, he did his professional radio debut. Using the name, "Frank King", he formed his own band and performed regularly on the Milwaukee radio show. In 1935, Pee Wee has performed with the "Log Cabin Boys". He formed his own band name and named it to, Pee Wee King And His Golden West Cowboys in 1936. His band composed of "Abner Sims" on fiddler, "Curly Rhodes" on guitar and "Texas Daisy". "Redd Stewart" joined Pee Wee's band in 1937. The band were invited to join the Grand Ole Opry. They performed regularly there for 10 years. During that performance, several prominent vocalists passed through the ranks of the band like "Eddy Arnold", "Cowboy Copas", "Milton Estes", "Tommy Sosebee", and "Becky Barfield". The band also became the backing band of "Minnie Pearl" on his tour. They also worked with "Ernest Tubb". Their self-titled debut album was released in 1995. He passed away in Louisville on March 7, 2000, after suffering a heart attack.
