Pebbles is is an American Dance Pop Singer who rose to fame via her hit single, "Love/Hate".

Now known as "Perri Smith-Reid-Nixon" and formerly known as, Pebbles, "Perri Alette McKissack" in real life was born on November 6, 1966 in Oakland, California. At 16, Peebles career started as a back-up singers for the group called, "Con Funk Shun". She also compose the song, "Body Lovers" for the group. Her first hit single "Love/Hate" was featured in the movie "Beverly Hills Cop. Her next single, "Girlfriend" was released in 1987 and chartered #1 on US R&B Charts. floor. Her third single "Mercedes Boy" also when to #1 and established Pebbles as a songwriter. Her self-titled debut album was released in 1987 under MCA Records. In 1988, Pebbles sang background vocals on Paula Abdul's album, Forever Young Girl. Her second album, Always was released in 1990. In 1995, Straight From The Heart was released.
