Patrick Stump

Patrick Martin Stump is currently the rhythm guitarist, writer of music, and lead vocals for the Punk/Emo band Fall Out Boy. Stump was born in Glenview, Illinois on April 27, 1984 as Patrick Martin Stumph as the son of a folk singer, and brother of a violinist. Although, when he joined Fall Out Boy, he changed his last name's spelling to avoid confusion as how it was pronounced.
Biography
In Patrick Stump's teenage year he joined the Music Center of Deerfield's "Join A Band" program. Stump served as a drummer in a number of local Chicago Suburban bands: Patterson, Mr. Rogers' Porno Shop, Xgrinding processX, and most notably Public Display of Infection (during his freshman year of Glenbrook South High School).
Not only did Stump participate in bands in high school, he also performed in a student created theatrical performance, "Paradox" from 2001-2002. He also wrote for a student produced publication based on social issues, called Channel Zero.
