Paris Bennett is an upcoming American singer who rose to fame when she was chosen as a finalists of the top rating reality show American Idol 2006. She was praised by the three judges upon her auditioned. Princess P as she was called by her fans and Ryan Seacrest landed at fifth place.

About
Paris Bennett was born on August 21, 1988 at Rockford, Illinois. Paris parents were divorced when she was just a child. She grew up in Edina, Minnesota with her mother and stepfather. Paris started singing at the age of six. She was trained by her mother and her grandmother, Ann Nesby, who was the lead singer of Sounds of Blackness. She was also trained to dance Hip-hop, Modern, African and Jazz.
Paris studied at Edina High School where she used to joined theatre plays such as The Wiz where she played the role of Dorothy. In 2004, she moved at her grandparents home in Fayetteville, Georgia where she attended her senior year at Starr's Mill High School.
In 2005, she joined the auditioned of American Idol season five. She first sang, "Cowboy Take Me Away", which was complimented by one of the judge, Paula Abdul. She was asked to sing another song and sang Take Five by Dave Brubeck. Paula's comment was You Are Incredible, Simon Cowell asked, Where are you hiding?. Paris was given a unanimous vote to go to Hollywood.
Paris was chosen as a finalist of American Idol 2006, landing for fifth place. In the end of 2006, she signed a recording contract under 306 Entertainment. Her debut album, Princess P was released last April 2007.
