Paramore (pronounced "pah-ruh-more") are an American punk pop band from Nashville, Tennessee. The band currently consists of five members: Hayley Williams, Josh Farro, Zac Farro, Jeremy Davis and Taylor York. The band were signed to the Fueled By Ramen record label in early 2005 and released their debut album All We Know Is Falling shortly afterwards.

In 2007, the band released their breakthrough album RIOT! which spawned four moderately successful singles. In 2008, the group contributed two songs to the soundtrack for blockbuster fantasy-romance film Twilight. 2009 saw the group record and release their third studio album Brand New Eyes.

Currently the band consists of Hayley Williams (lead vocalist/keyboard/pianist), brothers Josh Farro (lead guitarist/backing vocalist) and Zac Farro (drums/percussion), Jeremy Davis (bassist) and Taylor York (rhythm guitarist). The band were signed to the Fueled By Ramen record label in November 2004 and began recording there debut album All We Know Is Falling in early 2005. The album was released in the US on 26 July 2005 and three singles were released from it.

Although the album failed to chart on any major charts on initial release, Paramore began to get recognition for their live performances at The Warped Tour and released their first extended play The Summer Tic EP in the Summer of 2006 on the back of the Warped Tour. In June 2007, Paramore released their second studio album RIOT! in June 2007 to a Worldwide audience. This was their breakthrough single and produced hits such as Misery Business, Crushcrushcrush and That's What You Get as well as the exclusive UK/Ireland single Hallelujah.

Paramore would later go on and released two live albums/DVDs Live In The UK 2008 (2008) and The Final RIOT! (2008), which saw the release of Let The Flames Begin as a digital download single only. A music video for the song appears on The Final RIOT and was also uploaded to YouTube. 2008 also saw the release of Twilight: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to co-incide with the release of teen fantasy/romance film Twilight which features two songs from Paramore, the hit single Decode, and I Caught Myself.

Paramore was formed by "Hayley Williams", the lead singer in Franklin, Tennessee. She met brothers "Josh Farro" (guitar) and "Zac Farro" (drums) and "Jeremy Davies" (Bass) . "Hunter Lamb" was the original ryhthm guitarist but left the band. Now on tours Paramore's rhythm guitarist is "Taylor York"

In April 2005, Paramore signed a recording contract under Fueled by Ramen. Their debut album, All We Know Is Falling was released in 2005. Their second album, Riot was released in 2007. It chartered at number 20 on Billboard 200.
