About
Originally, the album was released on November 29, 2005, but was released again on March 28, 2006 with the addition of the hit ""Hips Don't Lie" under Epic Records.
The title "Oral Fixation" comes from the fact that Shakira had always live by her mouth that is her biggest source of happiness and pleasure specially when it comes singing. That's why she decided to name her album "Oral Fixation".
The artwork of the album is significantly well where the same child from the past album is perched in a tree and reaches for an apple where it is held in Shakira's hand. Volume 2 is more of a Jungian sort of thing since it is referring to the universal archtype of Eve (Adam and Eve) and the original sin where she wanted to attribute one more reason for Eve to bite the forbidden fruit - that would be her oral fixation.
