Mat Kearney's album has blends John Mayer, Jason Mraz and U2 in this record. The acoustic feel is still there though there is also a hint of Hip-Hop since he did raps on some songs. The raspy, soothing voice is ubiquitous in all songs. He did not change styles on each track which is what Kearney will be known. The album represents how as promising as Kearney is, stays in the middle. Not too muscular like John Mayer and not too cold and arty like Coldplay.
