About

It was 1994, under Island Records when The Cranberries released their second album titled “No Need To argue”. During this album, O’Riordan took more commanding and unfortunately shows much more self-conscious role that leads the band in good stead later. Their hit single “Zombie” is considered as the worst offender. O’Riordan wrote this song without Noel Hogan’s presence. The band’s best is “Ode to My Family” with a lovely string arrangement created by Dolores. Her overdubbed vocals shows her distinct vocal tics which became a more gimmicky at the expense of the performance.

Reviews

This is a great cd to just relax to or read to or whatever. Dolores once said that their music had a timeless quality to it, as if you could turn on the radio at any point in modern history and hear The Cranberries; this isn't arrogance or anything of the sort, it really is truth. Just listen to it, and it'll all come together. - The Big Napoleon, July 30, 2006
