Born Nickolas Gene Carter on the 28th of January 1980 at 7:32pm, to parents Robert Gene Carter and Jane Elizabeth Spaulding in Jamestown, New York. Nick Carter entered the limelight at a very young age, started out in numerous commercials and even auditioned for the Mickey Mouse Club. He also appeared in the 1990 Johnny Depp movie, Edward Scissorhands.
At the age of 12, he became a member of an all-children band where he was spotted by manager, Lou Pearlman. He immediately became the member of the boy band Lou Pearlman is training, the Backstreet Boys. He's the youngest member of the group which was formed in April 19, 1993. The group found success all over Europe, Canada and Southeast Asia before breakingthrough the US market.
The band continued to tour and overwhelming success until they decided have a break in 2002. The group decided to leave their management company, The Firm the same year but Nick Carter decided to stay. On October 28, 2002, he released his debut album as a solo artist, the rock and roll, R&B, Now or Never. It may not be as successful as his previous efforts with the band, debuting at the 17th spot, it went certified Gold. Apart from being a solo artist, he also returned to acting, appearing in the 2004 horror flick, The Hollow and in a reality TV show with his siblings including brother, Aaron Carter, House of Carters.

- Nick is the older brother of singers, Aaron Carter and Leslie Carter.
- He's one of Teen People Magazine's "21 Hottest Stars Under 21" [1999]
- He was arrested on January 2, 2002 for allegedly disobeying police orders to leave after a fight broke out inside the 'Pop City' club.
- He has owned N-Control Management since 2000, where he co-manages the alternative Rock group Break Out.
