About

New Miserable Experience was released on August 04, 1992 under A&M records. The album ranked no.30 on the U.S. Billboard chart and no.1 on the Heatseekers chart. The first single in the album "Hey Jealousy" hit no.25 on the The Billboard Hot 100 and no.4 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks. The second single "Found Out About You" peaked no.1 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart. The third single "Mrs. Rita" peaked no.36 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The fourth single "Until I Fall Away" hit no.13 on the Top 40 Mainstream chart. The album was produced by John Hampton and became Platinum in several countries. Because of the success of the album New Miserable Experience the band founder Doug Hopkins went into depression and committed suicide.
