About
Born on Tuesday February 4th 1975 in Sydney, Australia. Natalie Imbruglia grew up in a small beach town on the New South Wales coast called Berkleyvale. She began dancing at the age of 2, and then moved into a special academy to dance six days a week. She got her first job as a TV extra on Japanese bubble gun commercial as a 'Pinnacle Princess'. She was a 'surfer girl'. At the age of 17 she was offered a two week trial to play Beth Brennan in the Aussie soap opera "Neighbours" She and her character became so popular that Natalie stayed on the show for two more years.
She moved to London to pursue her career as an actress and singer. By 1996 she decided Los Angeles was the place to be. In California, she recorded her album, Left of the Middle (RCA), which was released in the United States on March 10. Though she was living in the States, it was fans in the United Kingdom who fell in love the quickest, just after her first single, "Torn", hit radio waves.
